Make crispy, cheesy taco bombs quickly using your air fryer. This recipe delivers a flavorful, handheld snack perfect for parties or quick meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef, drained
  • 1/2 cup taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the cooked ground beef and taco seasoning. Mix well.
  2. Lay out the crescent roll dough triangles on a clean surface. Separate the dough into 8 triangles.
  3. Flatten each triangle slightly with your fingers.
  4. Place about 1 tablespoon of the seasoned beef mixture onto the wide end of each dough triangle.
  5. Top the beef with a small sprinkle of the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese mixture.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from the wide end to the point, sealing the edges well to form a bomb shape. Pinch the seams closed.
  7. Lightly brush the outside of each taco bomb with the beaten egg wash.
  8. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes.
  9. Place the taco bombs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch. You may need to cook in batches.
  10. Lightly spray the tops of the bombs with cooking spray.
  11. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until golden brown and crispy.
  12. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can prepare these ahead of time, place them on a baking sheet, and freeze them. Cook from frozen by adding 3-5 minutes to the air fryer time.
  • Use ground turkey or shredded chicken instead of ground beef for variation.
  • Serve with sour cream, salsa, or guacamole for dipping.
