Ingredients
Scale
2 large sweet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into fry shapes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
Soak the cut sweet potato fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes. Drain them well and pat them completely dry with paper towels. This step helps achieve crispiness.
In a large bowl, toss the dry sweet potato fries with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
Place the seasoned fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Air fry for 10 minutes. Shake the basket well.
Continue to air fry for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the fries are tender inside and slightly browned.
In a small bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese and dried parsley.
Transfer the hot fries to a clean bowl. Immediately sprinkle the Parmesan mixture over the fries and toss gently until the cheese adheres.
Serve the fries immediately.
Notes
Drying the potatoes thoroughly before oiling is the most important step for crisp results.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches for best texture.
If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt instead of plain salt and garlic powder.
