- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1 large egg white
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, lightly whisk the egg white until it is slightly frothy. Do not over-whisk.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the pecans to the egg white and toss them gently until they are evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the coated pecans. Toss again until all the nuts are covered with the spice mixture.
- Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
- Remove from the oven and let the pecans cool completely on the baking sheet. They will crisp up as they cool.
- Break apart any clusters before storing.
