Ingredients
Scale
1 (13.5 oz) can full-fat coconut milk
1 (15 oz) can cream of coconut (like Coco Lopez)
1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup white rum (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Pinch of nutmeg
Instructions
Combine the coconut milk, cream of coconut, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk in a blender. Blend until completely smooth.
Add the white rum, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and nutmeg to the blender. Blend again for 30 seconds to mix thoroughly.
Taste the mixture. Add more rum if you prefer a stronger flavor.
Pour the mixture into a glass bottle or pitcher. Seal tightly.
Refrigerate the Coquito for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the drink to chill completely.
Shake well before serving. Serve chilled in small glasses, garnished with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
Notes
For a thicker, creamier texture, use only full-fat coconut milk and cream of coconut.
You can substitute the rum with an equal amount of coconut water for a non-alcoholic version.
This drink keeps well in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
