Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon melted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1 lemon, cut into wedges (for serving)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, melted butter, minced garlic, dried ginger, and black pepper to create the glaze.
Brush half of the honey garlic glaze evenly over the top of the salmon fillets.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove the salmon from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over the fillets.
Return the salmon to the oven and bake for another 4 to 7 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Cooking time depends on fillet thickness.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
For a crispier top, you can briefly place the salmon under the broiler for the last 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
If you prefer a lemon herb flavor, substitute the honey and soy sauce with 3 tablespoons melted butter, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 teaspoon dried dill, and 1 teaspoon dried oregano.
This recipe works well for sheet pan meals; add asparagus or broccoli florets to the pan during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
