- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces smoked salmon, thinly sliced
- Fresh dill sprigs, for garnish
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Brush both sides of the baguette slices lightly with olive oil.
- Bake the bread slices for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until lightly golden and crisp. Set aside to cool.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Spread a generous layer of the dill cream cheese mixture onto each cooled crostini slice.
- Top each spread slice with a folded piece of smoked salmon.
- Garnish each crostini with a small sprig of fresh dill before serving.
Notes
- You can toast the baguette slices ahead of time and store them in an airtight container for up to two days.
- For a sharper flavor, substitute half of the cream cheese with plain Greek yogurt.
- If you do not have fresh dill, use 1 teaspoon of dried dill, but reduce the amount slightly.
