Prepare simple, flavorful salmon bites coated in a sticky sweet chili lime glaze. This recipe works well for quick dinners or party appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the salmon fillet into uniform 1-inch cubes. Place the cubes on the prepared baking sheet and toss lightly with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the sweet chili sauce, lime juice, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and lime zest to create the glaze.
  4. Brush half of the glaze mixture evenly over the salmon cubes.
  5. Bake for 8 minutes.
  6. Remove the salmon from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for another 4 to 6 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze is sticky.
  8. Serve immediately as bites or over rice.

Notes

  • For air fryer preparation, cook the glazed bites at 380°F (195°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • You can substitute honey for a portion of the sweet chili sauce if you prefer a thicker glaze.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro or sesame seeds before serving.
