Make this simple, refreshing, and hydrating watermelon smoothie in minutes. It is perfect for a quick breakfast or a cool snack on a hot day.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cubed, frozen watermelon
  • 1 medium frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup water or coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen watermelon cubes, frozen banana, water or coconut water, and lime juice into your blender.
  2. Add the optional sweetener if you desire extra sweetness.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides once.
  4. Pour the smoothie into glasses immediately.
  5. Serve this refreshing drink right away.

Notes

  • For a thicker smoothie, use less liquid or add 2-3 ice cubes.
  • If you do not have frozen watermelon, use fresh watermelon and add 1 cup of ice.
  • To make this a strawberry watermelon smoothie, substitute half the watermelon with frozen strawberries.
